• Free Wine Tasting at the Olde Dominion Wine Shoppe
• The Coffee House of Occoquan is having Open Mike starting at 1900 Hours (7:00 PM).  See what everyone is talking about and if you have a hankering, join in, a guitar might just be optional. 

February 21 (Tuesday)

• The Cock and Bowl is having a "Mardi Gras Dinner Specials & Stuff"
  • Consisting of gumbo, catfish & love

February 22 (Wednesday)

• If it's Wednesday then the Cock and Bowl is having their sweet all day deal of $18 for Mussels, frites & a Belgian brew.  They do have quite a selection of Belgian brews too.

February 25 (Saturday)

• The Town of Occoquan continues its commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with:  
  • Robert Alton, the author of Stratagem 1861, will lecture on the early history of the Civil War in northern Virginia at 10:30 Hours (10:30 AM)
  •  Brady's Michigan Sharpshooters will re-enact a skirmish that occurred in Occoquan on February 3, 1862 at 11:30 Hours (11:30 AM)
  • The Sharpshooters will be encamped near the Tourist Information Center (200 Mill Street) where they will perform drill and firearm demonstrations after the re-enactment.
• Free Wine Tasting at the Olde Dominion Wine Shoppe, featuring wines from White Hall Vineyards
• The Coffee House of Occoquan is having it's last Open Mike in February starting at 1900 Hours (7:00 PM).  Show your support by attending this free event and if you have a hankering, bring your guitar and join in!  Coffee is available and the Hot Chocolate is the best in Town. 

February 29 (Wednesday)

• The final Wednesday of the month, and the last day of the month is definitely the time to stop by the Cock and Bowl for their very sweet all day deal of $18 for Mussels, frites & a Belgian brew. 

March 4 (Saturday)

• Free Wine Tasting at the Olde Dominion Wine Shoppe, featuring wines from Rogers Ford
• The Coffee House of Occoquan is having their first Open Mike of the month starting at 1900 Hours (7:00 PM).  Join Linda and the crowd of budding artists as they provide free entertainment and if you have a hankering, join in, a guitar might just be optional.

March 6 (Tuesday) - April 1 (Sunday)

• The Loft Gallery is hosting "From Oquossoc to Occoquan: an Artist’s Journey"
  • Featuring original paintings and drawings by award-winning artist Kathleen Best Gillmann
  • The exhibit includes landscapes and waterscapes extending from Oquossoc, Maine, to Occoquan, Virginia, with a detour to Minnesota's Lake Superior.
    • As an outdoor enthusiast and Maine native, Ms. Gillman interprets nature in its many moods, the mercurial qualities of water, the subtle and vibrant textures of foliage, and the effects of atmosphere, sunlight and weather.
    • For three consecutive years, her dramatic landscapes have juried into the Art League’s annual International Scapes Show, winning an honorable mention for her most recent submission, "Beach Houses at Lord’s Point."

March 6 (Tuesday) - April 2 (Monday)

• The Cock and Bowl is hosting: Homebrewer's nite! from 1930 to 2130 hours (7:30 PM - 9:30 PM)
  • They're encouraging everyone to bring brews to share, and chat with other homebrewer's about all things beer.
  • Held Quarterly!

• The Loft Gallery is hosting "Luminosity: A Study in Textures and Patterns"
  • Colored Pencil drawings by Sherry Smith 
  • Sherry describes her most recent works as not being about the subject matter as much as they are about her emotional response to color and pattern and light and dark. “Bright colors and shapes lift my spirits and bring me a sense of joy!" she explains. "I haunt flea markets and thrift stores to collect reflective objects to highlight the yards and yards of brightly patterned fabrics that are the inspiration for my still life works.”
